With increased safety rules dictated by the Government of India, many automobile companies have geared up to enhance safety standards for their vehicles. With the rules being implemented strictly the dual front airbags have become standard and are in fact an unwritten rule in most of the cars across all the segments in India. Taking this safety measure to next heights Volkswagen has made up a decision to move an inch further and provide 2 side airbags additionally in the Vento Highline Plus model apart from the traditional front airbags.
The upgradation even has new 16 inches alloy wheels garnered in Portago Grey in the Highline Plus models and for the Highline models, the upgrade has new 15 inches alloy wheels.
The restructured Vento line-up is available in a new Lapiz Blue external color choice. The high-end model even has a body-colored rear spoiler. Coming to interiors, the latest Vento’s moonstone color on the center console is the highlight. There’s also an illumined glove box and a USB charging port at the back.

The primary level petrol variant is obviously a 1.6-litre engine which comes with 105 PS and 153 Nm of torque. It has a 5-speed manual transmission. The high-end 1.2-litre TFSI direct-injection turbocharged petrol engine delivers 105 PS and 175 Nm of torque when coupled to a standard 7-speed DSG.
The Vento in the Indian market competes with Toyota Yaris, Honda City, Maruti Ciaz, Hyundai Verna in addition to its family member-the Skoda Rapid.
The stellar safety features and widely applauded engines give Vento the added advantage and the lion share market in its segment.
Volkswagen Service Center said the service advantage is also very high for the German maker and Volkswagen’s trademark longer miles general servicing period makes it the most opted vehicle.
